For Austin Allen, Kingsville MX is where motocross began.
Austin raced at the track from 2020 through 2026, and when it comes to motorcycles, he has a clear preference: “Anything Yamaha.”
His favorite parts of the track were the sweeper and the big jumps, but many of Austin’s best memories happened after the riding was over. He remembers partying with the Wohlberg family after hours in the concession stand, grabbing candy bars, and taking Fireball shots.
Then there was the unforgettable Fallen Riders Memorial Race honoring Jody Warne and Alex Malott. During the event, Austin’s dad, Richard Allen, wiped out while attempting rolling burnouts—a moment that instantly became part of the family’s Kingsville history.
When asked if he had a favorite story from camping at the track, Austin’s answer was simple: “Every one of them.”
That response captures what Kingsville MX has meant to Austin. It wasn’t one particular evening or race that made the experience special. It was every weekend spent riding, camping, laughing, and making memories with the people around him.
Austin’s relationship with RJ included repeatedly asking him to join the safety meetings—another memory that is sure to make those who were there smile.
Above everything else, Austin is grateful to the Wohlberg family for welcoming him into the sport and giving him a place to become part of the motocross community.
“You introduced me to moto in an unforgettable fashion,” Austin said. “Forever thankful for you guys.”
The racing brought Austin to Kingsville MX, but the people, the laughter, and the after-hours adventures made it a place he will never forget.
